Christmas in San Diego

I didn't have Eliot with me for the first time ever for Christmas, so figured the best way to cope would be to join 4 siblings, and dad and step-mom in visiting my 3 cousins and aunt and uncle at their places in La Jolla California. Surfing, bike rides on the boardwalk, good Mexican food, family games, and 3 trips to the San Diego airport to pick up incoming family members worked like a charm. I arrived on the 20th, picked up John coming in from Korea on the 21st, Adam from Austin on the 22nd, and then the rest of the Hettler's from Wisconsin on the 24th, before I flew home on the red-eye on the 25th to get back to Eliot for our New Year's trip.

First time in my life successfully surfing. Actually stood up on the board with both legs 3 times, and didn't see any sharks so it was a successful outing.

At cousin Scott's house 3 blocks from Pacific, with 2 brothers, 3 cousins, and one really big dog.

Silhouette photo didn't quite turn out.

La Jolla Cove, Children's Pool, checking out the seals down below.

Which way is North Pole, and Santa?

Sunset from Aunt Patty's house, Adrian Gonzalez's house is 3 blocks down and on the right.

Looking out from La Jolla Cove.

Sunset over the Pacific from Patty's yard.

Christmas meal, Scott explaining something to someone...  Dad looking like he thinks the story is embellished.
