Scooter loves the cake that our friends left for us.
Scoping out John's digs. Cool front porch room.
Cape Henlopen State Park (DE) where we were going to camp before the temp fell below 32.
They didn't fess up, so we had to search on our own.
Back to the treasure search, couldn't keep the lens dry the snow/rain was so heavy.
Touch tank with horseshoe crabs, two fingers was the rule.
Buried fences are always a good place to find treasure. Eliot recognized the tokens I hid along with some loose change as being from Rebounderz (bounce place near DC), I thought my treasure hiding cover was blown, but to my great joy he said, "Dad, these pirates have been to Rebounderz!!"
Horseshoe crab making its way to Eliot.
One of eleven look out towers from WWII built to protect Delaware Bay.
Checking out the sharks at the nature center.
John has the coolest fireplace.
Today we visited Broadkill and Henlopen Beaches, tomorrow we plan to visit Rehoboth. Henlopen was nicer sand, but very clean and clear of shells, crabs, drift wood and other exciting beach stuff. We found pirate treasure at both locations of course.
Eliot's castle.
Castle builders.
Pre-jump.
